Sea of Tranquility
Four-and-a-half stars. I must admit, I am an Emily St. John Mandel fan. I've read all of her novels, and while it wasn't my favorite, this time travel story was a very satisfying read. The novel starts out a bit slow and it takes its time before you begin to see where it's going. But the writing is meticulous and engrossing, and that in itself helps to pull you along. I love the way certain characters and themes from previous books pop up in her novels. While they aren't major characters or themes, they thread together the common universe she's created into an interesting fabric. Highly recommended.
